Maggie’s Horses

Before I get too far away from the early days….this here is a little abstract I painted off of a photo of Maggie’s appaloosas.  She loved her appaloosas.  She loved this painting.

I wish now that I had given it to her but I hung onto it.  I had planned on framing it up real pretty and giving it to her but then I moved across the country and got busy being married and having a baby….and I don’t really have a good excuse.  I just liked it so much that I couldn’t part with it.  I know she understands. 

Left to right is Sugar, Andy and Tashi.  Sugar went to greener pastures quite some time ago.  I’m not sure what has come of the other two since Maggie’s passing.  They were great fun.  Big huge things they were; so very different from my little arabians.  We plunked along through the forests and up in the hills many, many times scouting out all sorts of shiny things to take back with us in our mind’s eye.  I remember this day of taking photos quite vividly.  It was a beautiful day.
